Possums can do a very large amount of damage in a short period of time, and are the most common animal found dead in attics and under homes in Florida. Unlike raccoons, possums will urinate and defecate all over an attic, potentially ruining all of the insulation. Possums will also tear into ductwork and defecate inside it as well, putting anyone in the home at risk to breathing in the toxins the possums leave behind.  And since possums carry more fleas than any other animal, this leaves your home susceptible to an infestation.
